LUZMAKITCHEN

Luzmakitchen, founded in the kitchen of Luz Pericchi, was born from her love of the kitchen and by the compliments and recommendations of everyone who knows her cooking. Luz created her own line of food products with Latin, Spanish and Italian culinary influences with the goal of proving that it is possible to eat healthy without sacrificing taste. All of our products are hand-made with high quality, organic ingredients for maximum flavor and nutrition.

Our products are ideal for a craving, a full meal or to add flavor to your own cooking. Besides being delicious our products are the perfect gifts, there is special attention to the presentation and packaging, so we have grown by focusing on every detail. Our product list is continually increasing to include our own unique recipes as well as classic dishes prepared faithfully according to tradition.

“Empanada Gallega,” a typical dish of Northern Spain, is a delicious meat (chicken, tuna, bacalao or beef) casserole with onions, red peppers and seasoned with paprika (smoked pepper) within a crispy flour dough. The dough is made with olive oil, wine and yeast which blend perfectly to make a meal that is irresistible to the palate when served either warm or at room temperature.There are three sizes and four flavors to choose from: chicken, bacalao, tuna or beef. Try them all to decide which one is your favorite!

“Tortilla Espanola,” or “Spanish Omelette,” is a perfect combination of eggs and potatoes. This classic Spanish dish can be served hot or cold for breakfast, as a “tapa,” or as a side dish on a summer lunch. What a delicious and versatile dish!

“Cachito de jamon” is a small, soft bread with slightly sweet dough that is stuffed with ham. Typically a Venezuelan breakfast food, this irresistible dish will delight anyone’s palate regardless of nationality.

“Carpaccio” is an exquisite Italian appetizer made of raw meat or fish (such as beef, salmon or Octopus) thinly sliced or pounded thin, invented in 1950 in Venice. For our beef ones, we use sirloin, served and cooked with lemon, olive oil, ground pepper and Parmesan cheese and topped with a delicious basil vinaigrette, the perfect way to start a perfect meal.

Biscotti, meaning “twice baked” in Italian, is the classic Italian crunchy cookie. Ideal as a complement to hot drinks, you can use these for dipping or simply eat them slowly by themselves to satisfy your craving for sweets. We prepare several varieties such as almond, chocolate, double chocolate-and-toffee and Mandelbrodt with the last one being the slightly softer Jewish version of the Italian biscotti.

“Hallacas” are an iconic Venezuelan Christmas dish consisting of a flavorful stew of beef, pork and chicken. Flavored with wine and papelón (cane sugar), the mixture is combined with a variety of vegetables and savory spices before being wrapped in a rich mass of corn flour and cooked inside a plantain leaf. The exquisite combination of flavors will delight even the most discerning of taste buds.

“Bollos” share all the ingredients of the Hallaca but are smaller and the stew is mixed instead of wrapped with the mass. Equally delicious, many call them the Venezuelan tamale.
